How to use it

How to Use Your Beacon Personal Alarm

Engage the Alarm:

  • To Activate: Pull out the buckle to trigger the siren and strobe light.
  • To Deactivate: Replace the buckle to stop the alarm.

Using the Flashlight:

  • First Push: Press the button at the back of the alarm once to turn on the flashlight.
  • Second Push: Press again to activate the strobe effect without the siren.
  • Third Push: Press a third time to switch off the flashlight.

Safety Precautions for Your Beacon Personal Alarm

  1. Not a Toy: This alarm is not a toy. Never give it to children, as it is designed for emergency use and could cause harm if misused.
  2. Hearing Protection: The alarm emits a loud siren at 130dB. Prolonged exposure to this noise level can cause hearing damage. Use the alarm only in genuine emergencies.
  3. Eye Safety: Do not look directly into the LED light when activated, as the bright strobe effect can damage your sight.
  4. Regular Testing: Test your alarm regularly (once a month is recommended) to ensure it’s functioning properly. To reduce the noise during testing, cover the speaker with your thumb to muffle the sound.
  5. Emergency Use Only: Only activate the alarm when you feel your safety or security is at risk. Misuse of the alarm can reduce its effectiveness and cause unnecessary panic.

Currently, we only ship within the Republic of Ireland. Shipping costs are automatically calculated during checkout based on your location and the weight of your order. This ensures you get the most accurate shipping rate possible.

Returns:
If you receive a faulty product, please contact us immediately so we can arrange the most suitable solution for you. If you simply change your mind, you can return any unused and undamaged item in its original packaging within 14 days from the date of purchase. The buyer is responsible for covering the return postage costs. Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will issue a refund using the same payment method you used.

Very loud

I got two Beacon personal alarms as stocking fillers for my mum and sister. I opened one to test it—it’s just a bit bigger than a lighter but seriously loud! Great for peace of mind, though hopefully they’ll never need to use it.
