Welcome to Fortfyr /fɔːrt.faɪər/, a Dublin-based business born out of necessity and a passion for personal safety. Our story began on a business trip to the Philippines, where I was introduced to the idea of personal alarms by a colleague. Intrigued, but also concerned about safety during my travels, I bought a couple of these alarms as a precautionary measure and brought them back home to Ireland for my wife and daughter.

To my surprise, the alarms quickly became a topic of interest among their friends, who were eager to get their hands on one. Unfortunately, I hadn’t bought extras, and when we searched for similar products online, we were met with delays, import charges, and inconsistent quality from drop-shipped items coming from overseas.

Realizing that there was a gap in the market for reliable, high-quality personal safety devices stocked locally, I decided to take matters into my own hands.
